Friday, May 09, 2008 To setup Microsoft Outlook Express to check your e-mail:
  1. Open Microsfot Outlook Express
  2. On the menu bar, select Tools
  3. Under Tools, select Accounts...
  4. A window will open with 4 tabs at the top. Select the Mail tab.
  5. On the right hand side, click the Add button, then select Mail
  6. This will run the Internet Connection Wizard
  7. In the text box, type what you would like to call this account. This can be your name or any other title you would like. After you have entered a name, click next.
  8. On this next screen, enter your e-mail address that you would like Outlook Express to check, then click next.
  9. On the next screen, you should fill in the fields with the following information
    • Incoming Mail Server: POP3 Mail Server
    • Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
      yourdomain.com is the part of your e-mail address following the @ symbol
    • Outgoing Mail Server: Same as the incoming mail server.
  10. Once you have entered the information about click next.
  11. On the next screen you need to enter your login information. Enter your username and password, then select next.
  12. On the next screen, click next, then finish.
  13. After you click finish, you sill see the new mail account you created in the internet accounts window.
  14. Select the e-mail account you just created and click the Properties button on the right.
  15. Under the Servers tab, make sure the My Server Requires Autentication is checked. If not, check it now.
  16. Click Apply then OK and then Outlook will be set up to check your e-mail.
